Then the screen turns off, but our apps stay open, so we can pick up where we left off. What is the difference between turning off the screen and putting the computer to sleep?
There is a difference between screen standby and computer standby. In the first case, only the screen is off when the computer is not used for a few minutes. On the other hand, when the computer goes to sleep, the screen cuts out. and the PC is put into “sleep” mode. This reduces battery consumption without having to turn off the computer.
In laptops we also find the hibernate option. This uses less power than sleep mode, but Recovery takes a little longer. On the other hand, like sleep mode, hibernation allows you to resume work where you left off. without losing our data. To integrate this mode into the Power menu, go to Settings > System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings.
