Putting bay leaves in the oven spreads a pleasant fragrance in the house and eliminates bad odors from the kitchen.
After carefully removing all the dirt from the oven, due to many uses, place some bay leaves on parchment paper for 15 to 20 minutes at about 150 degrees Celsius.
We remind you that bay leaves can also be dried in the microwave. All you have to do is line the turntable in the oven with parchment paper, place the sheets, and cover them with another sheet of paper.
Letting them cook for 35 seconds at 1000 watts, the leaves will be golden. If they are still soft, leave them for another 10 seconds, being careful not to burn them.
Kiln-dried bay leaf not only leaves a good smell but also helps to preserve it for a long time and to have it available when we want to add it to our dishes.
Lemon can also be used to remove bad odors from the oven. It is a natural neutralizer well known for absorbing bad odors and giving off a fresh scent.
Here are two methods to use it in the oven:
1- Mix 500 ml of water and 150 ml of lemon juice. Then, pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it all over the surface of the oven. Don’t forget to pour some on the grates as well.
2- Take a baking tray and add some water and the juice of three lemons. Then, turn on the oven at a low temperature and leave it for at least half an hour so that the water evaporates with the lemon. Once the oven has been turned off, leave the pan to dry on the inside with the oven door closed. Finally, pass a cloth over all the surfaces to degrease.
In this way, not only will you have eliminated bad odors, but this tip will also thoroughly clean your oven.
