- Hold the grit side of the sandpaper out.
- Make several cuts. It is advisable to cut about 20 strips of sandpaper, taking care to cover the entire length of the sheets. Of course, you can cut more if you want your scissors to be sharper.
- Then use a clean, damp cloth to clean the scissors. And voila!
This technique works especially for standard scissors, that is, those that are not serrated.
On the other hand, sandpaper is an excellent tool to remove limescale from the bathroom glass door. It is therefore a very practical product to have at home.
If you don’t have sandpaper, aluminum foil can also help sharpen the cutting tool. To use it:
- Get some aluminum foil about 20 cm long, then fold it on itself 3-4 times. From there, you apply the same principle as with the sandpaper.
- Cut strips of aluminum foil with the scissors you want to sharpen, using the full length of the blades as in the previous technique.
- Then run the pair of scissors under a stream of hot water..
- Then use a dry cloth to clean it.
As with the sandpaper method, the aluminum foil method is effective and safe.
