How to get rid of yellow toilet stains

Fortunately, to clean this area and improve your bathroom hygiene, you don’t need to resort to harsh cleaners like bleach or other harsh chemicals. Try this simple natural remedy to apply to the toilet seat to make it shine and yellow stains disappear.

Yellowed toilet seats are ugly to look at and you may think it’s impossible to restore their shine. Think again! You only need to know the appropriate remedies to eliminate once and for all those yellow spots that appear over the years due to a lack of regular maintenance.

If the yellow stains seem to be embedded in the surface of the toilet seat, you can always fix it with effective solutions, whose ingredients they are probably at your house. Here’s how to keep your toilet seat clean:

Against stubborn stains and discolorations, such as yellowed surfaces, bleach is often thought of. However, it is not the ideal choice since, in addition to presenting a health risk, its use always requires some effort to obtain a perfect result. Use baking soda instead, which is safer. and that it has important cleaning and antibacterial powers.

As for the trick, it will be done in several stages so that it gives the best results.

  1. Start by mixing half a cup of baking soda with a little water to form a paste.
  2. Spread the paste on the toilet seat.
  3. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Then use a damp towel or scrubbing sponge and scrub the seat to loosen dirt and remove stains.

Prefer a scratch resistant sponge or even a clean toilet brush and scrub, preferably in a circular motion. This action, together with a good scrubbing tool, facilitates the penetration of the disinfectant product. Then rinse with a damp cloth, and then reapply the baking soda paste to the stained area as many times as possible. At least until the stain is gone. Then rinse with clean water then wipe the seat with a dry cloth.

You can also apply this trick through a spray bottle, you can put 1 liter of water for two tablespoons of baking soda. Shake the bottle and apply it by following the same steps mentioned above.

After a few iterations, your seat surface should normally have regained its shine.

Other ingredients are just as effective for cleaning the toilet seat.

Vinaire blanc is made up of cleaning and disinfection elements that act effectively against the most stubborn stains. Using it makes various tasks considered chores much easier.

To remove yellow stains from your toilet seat once and for all, start by getting a bottle of white distilled vinegar. Pour a small amount onto a paper towel or two until just moistened. then spread them all over the toilet seat to cover it. Let the small paper towels sit for 1-2 hours, then remove them at the end of this period. All you have to do is use a toilet brush or a soft sponge to scrub the seat.

Repeat the process until the total disappearance of the yellow spots. Pour in more white vinegar and scrub until you’re happy with the result, then finish by rinsing with a damp cloth.

Of course, ideal for removing difficult stains more easily, is to regularly clean their toilets. Because the best solution is still prevention, it is this initiative that prevents the accumulation of persistent stains such as yellow spots.
