Instead of throwing them away, you can widely recycle them and take advantage of their properties for various purposes. Once the eggs are cracked, don’t think about getting rid of their shells. They seem bulky, but they can serve you in different ways around the house. On the contrary, sterilize them and wash them carefully by passing them under running water. You will be surprised how useful they will be!

  • Put a pot with water on the fire and as soon as it boils, add the eggshells inside.
  • Boil them for 10 minutes, then put them in a colander.
  • Let drain for a few moments. Meanwhile, line the baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat to 130°C.
  • Place the eggshells on top and leave them inside for 15 minutes.
  • After this time, remove the fountain from the oven.
  • Once cooled, put them in the blender to grind them into a fine white powder.

After a few minutes, you will have an eggshell powder rich in calcium and vitamins. You can store it in an airtight container and use it whenever you want.

Recycling: what to do with eggshells?

Of course, the egg is one of the most popular natural ingredients in the world of beauty. But what you didn’t know is that even its shell can work wonders in cosmetics. In fact, it is ideal for preparing a nourishing mask for the skin or strengthening for the nails.

– To firm and nourish the skin, here is a homemade mask to integrate into your routine: mix a little powder obtained with an egg white, beat well until you get a firm consistency. Next, apply this cream to your face and leave it on for fifteen minutes, before rinsing with lukewarm water.

– It should also be noted that the eggshell has an important antioxidant effect in the fight against free radicals and premature aging of the skin. Therefore, to prepare a homemade anti-aging mask, this is the ingredient you need. You just need to put the powder in ice trays with a little water. Then put them in the freezer. Once the powder is frozen, rub the ice cubes on your face in circular motions. This trick is very effective in relaxing the skin and giving it a healthy glow.

– To strengthen the nails so that they are more resistant and that they do not deteriorate too quickly from repeated manicures, you will only have to add a little powder to your nail polish. Thus, you will benefit from the beneficial action of calcium.
