The homemade solution that will restore the shine to the parquet is prepared from two cups of water, four tablespoons of olive oil and two tablespoons of white vinegar. In order to clean parquet as effectively as possible with this solution, it is very important to follow a few rules.
Before washing the floor, you should use a soft broom so as not to scratch the surface, then take a mop broom with cotton or microfiber bristles to remove dust from the floor.
Remember to dry the floor well too, because humidity causes the parquet to swell and deteriorate. Only after these two steps will you take a cotton cloth that you will dip in the mixture and clean the parquet with it. Alternatively, you can pour the solution into a bucket and mop the floor with your mop broom.
